Chlorine is a greenish yellow gas which forms fastly with almost all elements.Chlorine is respiratory. The gas itches the mucous membranes and it also burns the skin. Chlorine can be deadly after a few deep breathes. It was also used in a war as a gas. It is not found in nature.

USES:
It is used to make paper products, dyes, petroleum products, medicines, antiseptics, insecticides, foods, solvents, paints, plastics, and many other products. It is used used for the taking out bromine.It is also used in drinking water.

HISTORY:
Chlorine was found in 1774 by a guy named Carl Wilhelm Scheele. He found it in Sweeden. Its name comes from a Greek word called chloros, that means a pale greenish color.
