Indium is a very soft, silvery-white metal. It makes a very high-pitched scream when bent. The majority of the worlds supply is produced in Canada. Indium was discovered by Ferdinand Reich, and Theodore Richter in 1863, in Germany. When it was found it was identified as a minor component in zincores. Acually this element is probably as abundant as silver.
